We are looking for entrepreneurial instructors to use their ballet skills to create teaching programs for high schoolers, and to grow the program to include performances.

Job Description

Hours: Estimated 1-12 hours per week

Location: Long Beach, Los Angeles County, CA – Opportunities for contracts elsewhere will arise.

Start Date: March

Time: Afternoons / Late Afternoons

This is an Independent Contractor position which varies in length and hours.

Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to the site(s)

Requirements

• You will be asked to provide and possess special skills that we wish for you to independently use to teach ballet to public, private, parochial, and Montessori schools.
• Independently create and execute pre-planned ballet lessons for class sizes of approximately 12-20 high school students – class sizes may vary.
• Must have experience instructing at a youth and/or pre-professional level in ballet.
• Must bring outside expertise from successful ballet career, teaching career, and academic career.
• Teachers will be on-site at public, private, parochial, and/or Montessori school campuses in the mornings or afternoons.
• Ability to effectively teach youth and act as a role model is required.
• Ability to be punctual, autonomous, self-governing, and motivated towards excellence is required.
• Ability to grow classes in a community context through word of mouth, networking, delivering and distributing flyers to schools, organizations, and possibly local businesses, as well as effectively communicating with community members, especially parents, potentially attend assemblies and other promotional events.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to the site. (Instructors will have the ability to indicate specific geographic work areas depending on availability).

You may hire your own employees or independent contractors. You are responsible for your own health insurance or other insurance and expressly waive and hold Ballet Business Arts LLC harmless from any liability or claim of injury.

Ballet Business Arts is seeking children’s Ballet instructors for on-campus classes. We are looking for teachers to assist in our mission of instilling a lifelong love of the dance arts through mentoring, inspiring, and encouraging.

Various Schools throughout Orange County:

Location: Various Schools across Orange County

• Provide instruction in one or more of the following class genres: Ballet: Pre-Ballet (3-5yrs) & Beginning Ballet (6yrs & up).

• Must have experience instructing and/or implementing instruction at a youth, high school, collegiate, and/or pre-professional level in ballet. 

• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to various parts of Orange County. (Instructors hired will have the ability to indicate specific geographic work areas). 

• Teachers will be on-site at private, parochial, and Montessori elementary school campuses in the mornings or afternoons.  

• Ability to effectively teach youth and act as a role model is required. Ability to be punctual, autonomous, self-governing, and motivated towards excellence is required.
• Create and/or follow pre-planned lessons for class sizes of approximately 12-20 students – class sizes may vary.

• Ability to promote classes in a community context through word of mouth, networking, delivering and distributing flyers to schools, organizations, and local businesses, and effectively communicating with community members, especially parents, attend assemblies and other promotional events, is required.
